This project in the UAE was for the supply of 52 ventilation and filtration fans for a large aluminum smelter. The equipment itself is not complex but the strict specifications, and extensive documentation required made Northern the supplier of choice.
The fans on this project are direct-driven, Arrangement 4. Our design 5312 Roof Exhausters have a three coat epoxy paint system applied to an SSPC-SP6 blast clean surface and our design 7620 Centrifugal BI fans are constructed of stainless steel and underwent weld passivation prior to shipment.

Two induced draft and two forced draft fans were supplied for a hydrogen production process at a refinery in the mid-western United States.
Arrangement 3, center hung wheels with independent bearing pedestals and motor soleplates, these fans were built to American Petroleum Institute standard 560. The ID fans each move over 340,000 CFM at 410⁰F and are driven by 1750 HP medium voltage motors.
