FanSolution Software
We understand immediate response is critical to our customers. To serve you
better, Northern has released FanSolution software to its agent base so
that quote information, including selection data, performance curves,
drawings and prices can be processed with unusual speed. This software is
constantly updated so that all information is current. What else would you
expect from an industry leader?
Designs In Development
Northern has several new products moving through the test lab in its
continuous search for more efficient fan designs. Check back often for

Backward Curved Fans
Northern Blower recently announced the introduction of its new Series 4000
BCI fan line. This entirely new product line is composed of a family of
related fan designs that contain variable diameter backward curved wheels.
The series covers a broad range of volume capacities at moderate to high

New Brochure For Petro-Chemical Industry
Northern Blower has released a new brochure! Titled "Centrifugal Fans For
Petro-Chemical Applications" this brochure was designed to magnify Northern
Blowerís presence in the petro-chemical industry, especially for fans
required to meet stringent API specifications. Check back regularly on the
"Info" link at the top of this page for brochure availability.
Rigidlock Tilt Tension Base for Electric Motors
Northern Blower recently was granted United States Patent 5,921,876 for its
Rigidlock Tilt Tension Base. The Rigidlock is an improvement on the design
of the standard pivot motor base that is widely used in fan applications
where quick drive-belt changes are required.
The downside of the standard pivot motor base is its tendency to "hop" on
fan start up and put excess strain on drive components. The Rigidlock
uses a series of clutch elements located at the front of the base to
oppose the forces that induce hop. As a result, the Rigidlock provides
much of the stability of a standard motor base along with the ease of
belt change associated with a pivot motor base.

Series 6600 - All New Industrial Fan Line
Northern Blower recently released its new heavy duty Series 6600 Industrial
fan line for dirty-gas and material handling applications.
The Series 6600 employs a series of five distinct wheel designs producing
a broad range of volume capacities across moderate to high static
pressure ranges. Each wheel geometry is designed for optimum operating
efficiency and reduced energy consumption. For details and specifications
